Description
Amass spaceships for your fleet as you roll your way to domination.
Expansions in Use
- Command Station
- Place 12 colony cards to form colony card display
- Shuffle ship card decks of each level separately, then deal 6 face-up to form ship card display
- Each player receives:
- 1 board
- 12 starting ship cards
- 2 dice
- 3 markers
- Each player:
- Places the markers on:
- Money (yellow): 5 space
- Income (green): 0 space
- Victory Points (blue): 0 space
- Places the 12 starting cards on the corresponding places on their player board
- Each player takes one random level 1 card and deploys it:
- Pay the price shown on the card
- Take the starting card and flip it , then slide it under your player board in the same sector so that only the red part of the card is showing
- The player that drew the highest sector card is the first player. Give this player the first player card:
- In case of ties, roll dice to determine who starts
- Places the markers on:
The game is played over a series of rounds where players will take one turn that go as follows:
- Roll and Allocate Dice
- Purchase a Card
- End of Turn
When activating actions in your sectors, the general rules are:
- Blue => can be used during your turn
- Red => can be used during another player's turn
- Green => can be used during any turn
A reward is a box where you receive some benefit, and it has no white circle in the top left of the box:
- There are no green rewards, only blue and red An ability is a box where you can perform some action, and it has a white circle in the top left of the box:
- Abilities can be blue, red or green
Note: When activating sectors, the colours of abilities and reward boxes you can use are:
- Active player => blue and green
- All other players => red and green
- Before rolling the dice, you may choose to activate abilities if possible
- Roll your two dice
- Each player then allocates the two dice:
- This is done independently and simultaneously:
- Passive players do not have to allocate them in the same way as the active player
- Either use the dice separately or together as their sum:
- If you roll a double, you can assign them both to the same sector as two separate dice, triggering that sector's ability twice
- Boxes with two dice and arrows can only be used if the sector is being activated with a sum of the two dice
- Active player receives benefits in blue box for each activated sector
- Other players receive benefits in red boxes for each activated sector
- Passive players with multiple deployed cards gain benefits from all of them when they allocate dice to that sector
- The benefits in each sector can only be gained once per turn
- This is done independently and simultaneously:
- You then have another opportunity to activate abilities
- The active player then has the option to buy a card:
- The player is allowed to buy a card that costs at most their current income
- If you do not buy a card, the income marker stays where it is
- If you buy a card:
- Spend all of your money, regardless of whether it requires all of your money to pay for the card:
- Money is more like a threshold to be able to buy things, rather than actual currency to buy things with
- Move the money marker to be equal to your income marker
- Place the card in the appropriate sector as written on the top right of the card
- Deploy the card that was already in that space:
- Flip the card 180 degrees and slide it under the board so that just the red part is poking out the top
- You may buy a colony card, which cannot be moved after placement and will no longer earn rewards:
- You score the victory points on the card immediately after purchase
- Spend all of your money, regardless of whether it requires all of your money to pay for the card:
- Charge abilities can then be triggered
- If any ship cards were taken during the turn, they are replaced:
- There should be 6 cards to choose from each level in the display at the end of the turn
- Colony cards do not get replaced
- If you bought a card this turn, move your money marker to be where your income marker is
The game end is triggered when a player reaches 40 victory points. However, they do not win immediately. The round where the game end is triggered is finished, and after the round is completed, the player with the most victory points is the winner.
If two or more players are tied for the lead at this stage, the game continues for another round, with all players participating in this next round. You continue playing new rounds until there is one player in the lead at the end of the round, at which point that player is declared the winner
