Description
Piece together a quilt and leave no holes to become the button master.
- Each player receives:
- 1 quilt board
- 1 time token
- 5 buttons
- Place the central time board in the centre of the table
- You can use either side, they look different but play identically
- Place your time tokens on the first space, with the starting player's token behind the other
- Official way to choose start player is player who last used a needle
- Place the 5 1x1 leather patches on the 5 marked spaces on the board
- Randomly place the other patches in a circle surrounding the central time board
- Place the neutral token between the smallest patch (the 2x1 one) and the next token in clockwise order
- Players will take turns where they can take one of two actions:
- Advance and Receive Buttons
- Take and Place a Patch
- Turns are not necessarily taken in alternating order:
- Player with their time token furthest back on the board will take the next turn
- If both players are on the same space, the player whose token is on top takes the next turn
- When you pass a button on the time board, receive income:
- Receive one button for each button printed on patches that you have placed on your player board
- If you move over a 1x1 patch placed on the board, you can pick it up and place it onto your board
- If you fully cover a 7x7 square of spaces on your board, take the special tile
- You will score 7 extra points at the end of the game
- Choose one of the three tokens in front of the neutral token in clockwise order
- Place the neutral token next to the chosen patch
- Pay the number of buttons written on the patch
- Place the patch on your board
- You cannot overlap any patches already placed on the board
- You can place it in any orientation and on whichever side you want
- Move your time token the number of spaces written on the patch
When both tokens reach the final space on the board, the game ends To calculate your final score:
- From the number of buttons you have left at the end of the game, pay 2 buttons back to the supply for every empty space still left on your board
- Receive 7 buttons if you received the special tile
The player with the most buttons. In case of a tie, whichever player got to the final space first wins
