- Place the remaining deck face-down as a draw pile
- Take the first two cards from the deck and place them face-up next to the 3 camels to form the market
- Players remove any camels in their hands and place them in a stack in front of them. This forms the player's herd
- Sort the tokens by type and in descending value

The game plays over 3 rounds, where each round consists of a series of turns taken back-and-forth between the two players. On your turn, you will do one of two things:
- Take Cards
- Sell Cards
At the end of your turn, you are not allowed to have more than 7 cards
When you take cards, you must choose one of the following:
- Take several goods:
- Place the same number of cards from your hand back into the display to replace the cards you took
- The returned cards can be camels, goods or a combo of the two
- Take 1 good:
- Take it into your hand and replace it with the top card of the deck
- Take all of the camels into your herd:
- Replace the taken cards with cards from the deck
When you sell cards, you choose one type of good and discard as many cards of that type as you like:
- Sell as many cards of a single type as you want
- Take as many tokens of the matching type as the number of cards discarded, starting with the "top" token of the spread stack
- If you sell more than 3 cards, take a bonus token matching the number of cards sold:
- Take the 5 cards token for any sale containing 5 or more cards
- When selling diamonds, gold and silver, you must sell at least 2 cards at a time
The end of the round occurs when one of two things happens:
- 3 types of goods token are depleted
- There are not cards left in the draw pile
The round is then scored as follows:
- The player with the most camels in their herd gets the camel token, which is worth 5 rupees
- Both players turn their received tokens over and add up the total value
- Whoever has the most rupees is the winner of the round:
- The winner of a round gets a Seal of Excellence token
- Tiebreakers are:
- Player with the most bonus tokens
- Player with the most goods tokens
The game ends when a player has received two Seals of Excellence!
