Description

Pass the sushi around, but keep the best for yourself. Save room for dessert!

  • Shuffle deck and place it face-down in the centre of the table

The game takes place over 3 rounds.

At the start of each round, each player takes a number of cards based on player count:

No. of PlayersCards210394857

On each turn, players choose one card and place it face-down in front of them. When everyone has chosen a card, all players turn their card face-up.

After revealing and placing cards, players pass the remaining cards face-down to the player to their left. This process continues until all players have a single card, which they must play into their area. All players then score their play area.

Wasabi

If a player choose a nigiri card and they have a wasabi card in front of them with no nigiri on it, they must play the nigiri card on the wasabi. This triples the value of the nigiri card.

You may have multiple wasabi cards, but you may only have one nigiri on each one.

Chopsticks

If a player has a chopsticks card in front of them, after every player has chosen their cards but before the cards are revealed, the player may call out "Sushi Go!" and then take a second card from their hand, also playing it face-down on the table. Then the chopsticks card is taken from the table and put into the hand before it is passed to the next player. You may have multiple chopsticks cards but may only use one per turn.

Players score a round as follows:

  • Sushi cards:
    • Each player adds up how many sushi rolls are printed on the cards in their play area
    • Scores:
      • 1st place => 6 points
      • 2st place => 6 points
      • If players tie, the points are split:
        • If there are ties for 1st place, 2nd place is not scored
      • You cannot score if you have zero sushi roll icons
  • Tempura cards:
    • Score 5 points for every 2 tempura cards in your play area
  • Sashimi:
    • Score 10 points for every 3 sashimi cards in your play area
  • Dumplings:
    • You score depending on how many dumpling cards you have in your play area:
      • 1 card => 1 point
      • 2 cards => 3 points
      • 3 cards => 6 points
      • 4 cards => 10 points
      • 5+ cards => 15 points
  • Nigiri and Wasabi:
    • Each squid nigiri is worth 3 points
    • Each salmon nigiri is worth 3 points
    • Each egg nigiri is worth 3 points
    • Each covered wasabi triples the value of the nigiri card on it
    • Each uncovered wasabi is worth no points
  • A chopsticks card is worth nothing

All cards are then discarded except for dumpling cards, which are only scored at the end of the game

After performing scoring at the end of the third round, the game is over.

The player with the most pudding cards then scores 6 points:

  • If there are ties, divide the points evenly among tied players, ignoring any remainder

The player with the least pudding cards then loses 6 points:

  • If there are ties for last place, divide the loss evenly among tied players, ignoring any remainder

If all players have the same number of pudding cards, no one scores any points for them

2P Only the player with the most pudding cards gains 6 points. The other player does not lose 6 points.

The winner is then the player who has the most points.

Tiebreakers are:

  • Player with the most pudding cards

Otherwise, the victory is shared
